VinItaly 2024: Forging New Partnerships in Verona

July 18, 2024

2024 marked the 56th edition of VinItaly, the last major international trade show NexTerra attends between November and April. Set in the picturesque city of Verona, the warm Spring air and recently adjusted clocks for daylight savings time define the end of Winter. Home to Romeo and Juliet, Verona is beloved by Italians arguably as much as it is by visitors from abroad. For four days, buyers and sellers meet to discuss international trade, taste new vintage releases, and enjoy time together developing and affirming solid partnerships.

Remarkably, over 4,100 exhibitors attended the show, spread over nearly 300,000 square feet of display area. The production range of these vendors is what makes the show truly special. Whether their annual production is 1,500 cases or upwards of 1.3 million, there's a place for every winery to showcase their capabilities. For NexTerra, VinItaly provided an opportunity to meet with several suppliers over 2.5 days, focusing on core relationships for Prosecco, Pinot Grigio, Chianti, Super Tuscan, as well as R&D time for special projects coming down the pipeline.

Throughout our international journey, Italy carries a notable sense of romanticism and authenticity, along with the reminder that healthy relationships require time and effort from both sides. Each meeting begins with an offer of still or sparkling water, some charcuterie, and several warm greetings of "Buongiorno!" Discussions in Italy last longer, with plenty of smiles and laughter accompanying the wine tasting sessions and important business development topics. Of course, it wouldn't be a complete meeting without at least two persistent offers of espresso before leaving each exhibitor's stand.

VinItaly 2024 was a huge success, reinforcing NexTerra’s commitment to nurturing strong partnerships and exploring new opportunities. We remain dedicated to delivering exceptional wines and maintaining the strong relationships that define our brand. To learn more about VinItaly, click here.
